S&P revises Iceland view to positive

Standard & Poor's said it revised the outlook on the Republic of Iceland to positive from stable.

At the same time, the agency affirmed its BBB-/A-3 long- and short-term foreign and local currency sovereign credit ratings on Iceland.

S&P said the revision reflects its view that Iceland's economic growth prospects have strengthened, while its fiscal position continues to improve with net general government debt on a downward path.
