American Electric Power plans to sell senior notes in two tranches

Knoxville, Tenn., Nov. 28 – American Electric Power Co., Inc. plans to price a two-part offering of fixed-rate senior notes, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be sold in two tranches of series I notes and series J notes.

The series I notes are non-callable. The series J notes feature a make-whole call and then a par call.

Barclays, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, Citigroup Global Markets Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Mizuho Securities USA Inc. are the bookrunners.

The co-managers are KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc. and MUFG.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

American Electric Power is a Columbus, Ohio-based electricity provider.
