Huntsville, Ala., readies $139.99 million school warrants for Tuesday

New York, June 13 – The City of Huntsville, Ala., plans to price $139.99 million of series 2016 general obligation school warrants on Tuesday, said a preliminary official statement.

The offering includes $36,395,000 of series 2016A warrants, $28,345,000 of series 2016B warrants, $40.75 million of series 2016C refunding warrants and $34.5 million of series 2016D refunding warrants.

The warrants (Aaa/AAA) will be sold on a competitive basis with Public Financial Management Inc. as the financial adviser.

The 2016A warrants are due 2017 to 2036 and the 2016B warrants are due 2024 to 2036. The 2016C warrants are due 2017 to 2029 and the 2016D warrants are due 2017 to 2030.

Proceeds will be used to finance capital improvements to city facilities and to refund existing debt.
