Fitch rates Humana notes BBB

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a BBB rating to $1.1 billion of senior unsecured notes issued by Humana Inc. Existing ratings assigned to Humana and its operating subsidiaries are not affected by this offering. The outlook is currently stable.

The new debt ranks pari passu with senior unsecured debt issued by Humana. Accordingly, the rating assigned to the new senior notes is equivalent to the rating assigned to Humana's senior notes. The notes are rated one notch below Humana's long-term issuer default rating, which reflects standard notching based on Fitch's rating criteria.
