Hughes Satellite Systems announces $1 billion secured notes offer

Portland, Ore., July 19 – EchoStar Corp., a subsidiary of Hughes Satellite Systems Corp., announced in a Tuesday press release that it plans to offer $1 billion of senior secured notes via Rule 144A and Regulation S.

The Englewood, Colo.-based provider of satellite and video delivery solutions plans to use the proceeds for capital expenditures, working capital and general corporate purposes.
