Washington, Nov. 24 - Huffy Corp. said it wants to hold a court-approved auction for the sale of its intangible assets and patents used in its hockey equipment business under the Hespeler brand and its in-line skates and action businesses under the name Rage, Dukes, Skate Attack and Ultra Wheels.

The stalking horse bidder, The Forzani Group Ltd., is offering $1.615 million. Competing bids are due by Dec. 8 with the auction to be held on Dec. 10 in Cincinnati.

Huffy, based in Miamisburg, Ohio, has also received offers of $840,000 for its snowboard inventory, $240,000 for its in-line skate inventory and $42,800 for its skateboards.
