HSBC plans autocallable barrier notes on Nasdaq-100, Russell 2000

By Emma Trincal

New York, Jan. 7 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price autocallable barrier notes due Jan. 14, 2027 linked to the lesser performing of the Nasdaq-100 index and the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be called at par plus an annualized premium of at least 10.3% if each index closes at or above its initial level on any annual observation date after one year. The exact call premium will be determined at pricing.

The payout at maturity will be par unless any index finishes negative by more than 30%, in which case investors will be fully exposed to the decline of the worst performing index from its initial level.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price on Jan. 9 and settle on Jan. 14.

The Cusip number is 40435U2Q6.
