HSBC reports plans to price buffered AMPS tied to Euro Stoxx 50 index

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 21 – HSBC USA Inc. intends to price 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Aug. 2, 2021 linked to the Euro Stoxx 50 index, according to an FWP filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the index increases, the payout at maturity will be par plus 300% of the return, subject to a maximum payout of at least 57%. The exact cap will be set at pricing.
If the index falls by up to 10%, the payout at maturity will be par.
Investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 10%.
HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.
The notes (Cusip: 40435UDQ4) will price on Jan. 28 and settle on Jan. 31.
