New Issue: HSBC prices $1.75 million digital notes due 2020 tied to S&P 500 index

Olympia, Wash., Aug. 23 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $1.75 million of 0% digital notes due Oct. 5, 2020 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the index finishes at or above its 80% threshold level, the payout at maturity will be the threshold settlement amount of $1,105 for each $1,000 of notes.
Otherwise, investors will lose 1.25% for each 1% decline beyond the 20% buffer.
