HSBC to price buffered PLUS linked to iShares MSCI Emerging Markets

Minneapolis, Oct. 26 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price buffered Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due April 30, 2020 linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets exchange-traded fund, according to a FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the final ETF share price is greater than the initial share price, the payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus double the return, subject to a maximum return of at least $12.25 per PLUS.

If the fund finishes flat or falls by no more than 10%, the payout will be par.

If the fund falls by more than 10%, investors will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond the 10% buffer.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price on Oct. 27 and settle on Nov. 1.

The Cusip number is 40435H426.
