HSBC plans five-year trigger jump securities tied to iShares MSCI EM

Chicago, Aug. 24 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% trigger jump securities due Sept. 6, 2022 linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the fund finishes at or above its initial level, the payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus the greater of the return and the upside payment of 39%.

If the fund falls by up to the 75% trigger level, the payout will be par.

Otherwise, investors will be fully exposed to any losses.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent. Morgan Stanley Wealth Management is handling distribution.

The notes will price on Aug. 31 and settle on Sept. 6.

The Cusip number is 40435G550.
