HSBC plans two-year buffered AMPS with cap linked to S&P 500

Morgantown, W.Va., June 26 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due June 28, 2019 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of any index gain, up to a maximum return of at least 15.5%.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 10%.
HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.
The notes will price on June 27.
The Cusip number is 40433U6E1.
