HSBC announces plans to sell market-linked securities tied to the Dow

Knoxville, Tenn., June 12 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% market-linked securities with leveraged upside participation and contingent downside due July 5, 2022 linked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.2 times to 1.3 times any index gain, with the exact upside participation to be set at pricing.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 30% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline from the initial level if the index falls by more than 30%.
HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. and Wells Fargo Securities LLC are the agents.
The notes (Cusip: 40433U7B6) will price June 29 and settle July 5.
