HSBC plans to price two-year buffered AMPS linked to S&P 500

Morgantown, W.Va., March 27 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due March 29, 2019 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of the index return, subject to a maximum return of at least 17%.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 10%.
HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.
The notes are expected to price March 28.
The Cusip number is 40433UU95.
