HSBC plans buffered uncapped market participation securities on EAFE

Norfolk, Va., Feb. 15 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered uncapped market participation securities due Feb. 24, 2022 linked to the iShares MSCI EAFE index fund, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.4 times the reference return.

Investors will receive par if the fund falls by up to 25% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond the buffer.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price on Feb. 21 and settle on Feb. 24.

The Cusip number is 40433US23.
