New Issue: HSBC prices $5.25 million buffer digital notes tied to iShares MSCI EAFE

Tacoma, Wash., Nov. 4 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $5.25 million of 0% buffer digital notes due Oct. 9, 2018 linked to the iShares MSCI EAFE exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the ETF’s final share price is at least 90% of the initial share price, the payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus 14.6%. Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for every 1% that the ETF declines beyond 10%.
