New Issue: HSBC prices $611,000 barrier enhanced participation notes on EM fund

Norfolk, Va., Oct. 6 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $611,000 of 0% barrier enhanced participation notes due Oct. 7, 2019 linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the ETF return is greater than zero, the payout at maturity will be par plus 1.15 times the ETF return.

Investors will receive par if the ETF falls by up to 25% and will be fully exposed to losses from the initial share price if the ETF falls by more than 25%.
