New Issue: HSBC prices $5.45 million leveraged buffered notes tied to MSCI EAFE

Morgantown, W.Va., July 19 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $5.45 million of 0% leveraged buffered capped notes due Jan. 17, 2018 tied to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.5 times any index gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,199.50 per $1,000 of notes.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 12.5% and will lose 1.1429% for every 1% decline beyond the 12.5% buffer.
