New Issue: HSBC prices $152,000 AMPS linked to basket of two indexes, two ETFs

Columbus, Ohio, March 28 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $152,000 of Accelerated Market Participation Securities due April 1, 2019 linked to a basket of two indexes and two exchange-traded funds, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket components are the S&P 500 index with a 40% weight, the Russell 200 index with a 20% weight, the iShares MSCI EAFE exchange-traded fund with a 10% weight and the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets exchange-traded fund with a 10% weight.

Payout at maturity will be par plus 300% of any gain on the basket, up to a maximum return of 45%.

Investors will be exposed to any decline in the basket.
