New Issue: HSBC prices $836,000 barrier market participation notes linked to S&P 500

Tacoma, Wash., Oct. 30 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $836,000 of 0% barrier market participation notes due Oct. 30, 2018 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the index return is greater than zero, the payout at maturity will be par plus 102% of the index return. Investors will receive par if the index falls by 25% or less and will be fully exposed to the index’s decline if it falls by more than 25%.
