New Issue: HSBC prices $4.5 million buffered AMPS due 2018 linked to S&P 500

Chicago, Sept. 18 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $4.5 million of 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Sept. 20, 2017 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus double the index return, up to a maximum return of 20.25%.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 15% and will lose 1.1765% for every 1% decline beyond 15%.
