New Issue: HSBC prices $17,000 AMPS linked to S&P 500 index

San Luis Obispo, Calif., May 29 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $17,000 of 0% Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Aug. 29, 2016 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus triple the index return, subject to a maximum return of 12%. Investors will be fully exposed to any decline in the index.
