New Issue: HSBC prices $1.14 million barrier enhanced participation notes linked to energy fund

Tacoma, Wash., April 30 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $1.14 million of 0% barrier enhanced participation notes due April 30, 2020 linked to the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.25 times any fund gain. Investors will receive par if the fund falls by up to 20% and will be fully exposed to losses from the initial level if the fund falls by more than 20%.
