New Issue: HSBC prices $368,000 buffered market notes on Energy Select Sector fund

Madison, Wis., Dec. 26 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $368,000 of 0% buffered market participation securities due Dec. 26, 2017 linked to the Energy Select Sector SPDR fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the fund return is greater than zero, the payout at maturity will be par plus the fund return, subject to a maximum return of 65%. Investors will receive par if the fund declines by up to 10% and will lose 1% for every 1% that the fund declines beyond the 10% buffer.
