HSBC plans 14-month Accelerated Return Notes linked to Nikkei

Chicago, Feb. 14 - HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% Accelerated Return Notes due April 2015 linked to the Nikkei Stock Average index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus triple any gain in the index, up to a maximum return of 12% to 16%. The exact cap will be set at pricing.
Investors will be fully exposed to any losses.
BofA Merrill Lynch is the agent.
The notes will price in February and settle in March.
