HSBC plans 18-month AMPS with 20% cap linked to Russell 2000

Chicago, Feb. 4 - HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Aug. 26, 2015 linked to the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus triple any gain in the index, up to a maximum return of at least 20%. The exact cap will be set at pricing.
Investors will be exposed to any losses.
HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.
The notes will price on Feb. 21 and settle on Feb. 26.
The Cusip number is 40432XTM3.
