New Issue: HSBC prices $2.82 million buffered uncapped notes linked to S&P 500, iShares MSCI EAFE

Tacoma, Wash., March 8 - HSBC USA Inc. priced $2.82 million of 0% buffered uncapped market participation securities due March 13, 2017 linked to the S&P 500 index and the iShares MSCI EAFE index fund, according to a 424B2 with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The index has an 80% weight in the basket, and the exchange-traded fund has a 20% weight.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 83% of any basket gain. Investors will receive par if the basket falls by up to 20% and will lose 1% for every 1% that it declines beyond 20%.
