HSBC plans 24-month buffered AMPS with cap on iShares MSCI EM fund

Chicago, Dec. 4 - HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Dec. 28, 2015 linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus double any gain in the fund, up to a maximum return of 13% to 17%. The exact cap will be set at pricing.
Investors will receive par if the shares fall by up to 10% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 10%.
HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.
The notes will price on Dec. 20 and settle on Dec. 26.
The Cusip number is 40432XPK1.
