HSBC plans two-year buffered AMPS with cap linked to Russell

San Luis Obispo, Calif., Oct. 1 - HSBC USA Inc. plans to price buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Oct. 28, 2015 linked to the Russell 2000 index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus double any index gain, subject to a maximum return of 18% to 22%. The exact cap will be set at pricing.
Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 10%.
HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.
The notes (Cusip: 40432XLK5) will price Oct. 23 and settle Oct. 28.
