New Issue: HSBC prices $8.94 million 7.5% coupon-bearing notes tied to Qualcomm via Bank of America

San Diego, Aug. 20 - HSBC USA Inc. priced $8.94 million of coupon-bearing notes due Aug. 30, 2013 linked to the common stock of Qualcomm Inc., according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Interest is payable quarterly at the rate of 7.5% per year.
If the ending price of Qualcomm stock finishes at or above the threshold value of 94.75% of the initial value, the payout at maturity will be par of $10.
Investors will share in losses beyond the threshold value.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch is the underwriter.
