HSBC plans bearish accelerated market participation notes on S&P 500

New York, Feb. 8 - HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 13-month bearish accelerated market participation securities linked to the S&P 500 index, according to an FWP with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus triple the absolute value of any index loss, subject to a maximum return of 11.5% to 14.5%. Investors will share in losses determined according to any index gain.

The securities will price on Feb. 23 and settle on Feb. 26.
