HSBC plans 15-month AMPS linked to iShares FTSE/Xinhua China 25 fund

New York, Nov. 2 - HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Feb. 27, 2012 linked to the iShares FTSE/Xinhua China 25 index fund, according to an FWP with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus triple any fund gain, up to a maximum return of 20% to 25%. The exact cap will be set at pricing.

Investors will share in any losses.

The notes (Cusip: 4042K07L3) will price on Nov. 22 and settle on Nov. 26.
