HSBC will price dollar-denominated perpetual contingent convertibles

Knoxville, Tenn., March 19 – HSBC Holdings plc expects to price dollar-denominated perpetual subordinated contingent convertible securities, according to a 424B2 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes are callable every five years after an initial call date.
HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the bookrunner.
Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
The banking and financial services group is based in London.
