Moody's rates Houston Community College maintenance tax notes Aa2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aa2 rating to Houston Community College System's $54 million of maintenance tax notes, series 2008.

The notes were expected to sell on Tuesday.

At the same time, Moody's said it affirmed its Aa2 rating on the system's $149 million of outstanding parity debt.

Moody's also said it affirmed its Aa3 rating on the system's $58.1 million of senior lien student fee revenue bonds, its A1 rating on the system's $114.1 million of junior lien student fee revenue bonds and its Aa3 rating on Houston Community College System Public Facility Corp.'s $125.4 million of lease revenue bonds.
