Moody's cuts Houghton Mifflin

Moody's Investors Service said it lowered Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishers Inc.'s probability of default rating to D from Ca following the company's May 21 filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The Ca corporate family rating and Ca debt instrument ratings are not affected.

The outlook is stable.

Moody's said it plans to withdraw the ratings in roughly three days.
