Host Hotels & Resorts files automatic shelf for preferreds and stock

Knoxville, Tenn., April 29 - Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers common stock, preferred stock, depositary shares, warrants and subscription rights.

The securities may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for development or acquisitions of hotel properties, capital expenditures, debt repayment or repurchases, working capital and general corporate purposes.

Bethesda, Md.-based Host Hotels is a real estate investment trust focused on ownership and operation of hotel properties.
