Hostess Brands posts negative $8.72 million of EBITDA for July period

Pittsburgh, Aug. 31 - Hostess Brands, Inc. posted negative $8.72 million of EBITDA for the period of July 1 to July 28 on $174.75 million in net revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
The company also reported an operating loss of $15.37 million and a net loss of $17.59 million for the July period. As of July 31, Hostess had cash on hand of $37.3 million.
Hostess' last report, for the period of June 3 to June 30, showed $4.4 million of EBITDA on net revenues of $186.31 million. The company also reported a $2.91 million operating loss and a $2.13 million net loss for the June period, with cash on hand of $45.79 million as of June 30.
Hostess Brands, an Irving, Texas-based operator of regional bakeries, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 11, 2012. Its Chapter 11 case number is 12-22052.
