Hospital Partners of America Chapter 7 bankruptcy case closed

Pittsburgh, April 2 – Hospital Partners of America, Inc.’s Chapter 7 bankruptcy case was closed on Friday by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The docket entry closing the case said the company’s estate has been fully administered.

As previously reported, Hospital Partners of America completed the $155 million sale of its 79% ownership interest in St. Joseph Medical Center to Iasis Healthcare LLC in May 2011.

The company’s Chapter 11 case was converted to Chapter 7 on Nov. 21, 2008.

Hospital Partners of America, a Charlotte, N.C.-based privately held company that develops and operates hospitals, filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 24, 2008. Its Chapter 7 case number is 08-12180.
