Oregon voters to decide on $273.9 million G.O.s

New York, May 1 - Several Oregon issuers are awaiting a May 20 election for the proposed sale of $273.9 million general obligation bonds, according to a calendar of proposed bond measures.

Those include the Redmond School District No. 2J, which plans to price $110 million bonds to improve safety and update schools, and the Chemeketa Community College's $92 million bonds for healthcare, industrial and technology facilities.

The Klamath Community College also anticipates the sale of $12.4 million bonds for new campus facilities, and the city of Klamath Falls plans to price $4 million bonds for a new police station.

The Hood River County School District is seeking to price $25.1 million for new construction.

The city of Lake Oswego also is asking for approval to price $20 million bonds to refinance property; the city of Coos Bay is asking to sell $6.9 million bonds for a new fire station and equipment; and the city of Scappoose plans to price $3.5 million bonds for a rail crossing.
