American Beacon Funds selects Zebra's Eric Stokes to manage two funds

San Diego, Oct. 20 - American Beacon Funds announced new portfolio management for its American Beacon Zebra Large Cap Equity Fund and its American Beacon Zebra Small Cap Equity Fund, according to 497 filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The new investment advisor for the funds is Zebra Capital Management Co., Inc., and the new portfolio manager is Eric Stokes.

Zhiwu Chen is no longer the portfolio manager or the sub-adviser.

Stokes joined Zebra Capital as portfolio manager in February 2011. Prior to joining Zebra, he held positions as a principal and chief investment officer at Reed-Stokes Capital Partners, a principal at Market Neutral Strategy, LLC and a portfolio manager at Graham Capital Management.

American Beacon Funds, a series of mutual funds open to institutional and individual investors and retirement accounts such as IRAs, is managed by Fort Worth-based American Beacon Advisors.
