Honeywell files automatic shelf registration

Philadelphia, March 1 - Honeywell International Inc. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers debt securities, preferred stock and common stock. The securities may be structured as convertibles.

The Morristown, N.J., technology and manufacturing company will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including repayment of debt, repurchase of common stock, investments in or extensions of credit to subsidiaries, or financing of acquisitions or business expansion.
