Home Bancshares files $200 million shelf covering preferreds and stock

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 7 - Home Bancshares, Inc. filed a $200 million shelf in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The amount consists of securities that were previously registered but unsold.

The registration covers preferred stock, common stock, rights and warrants.

The preferreds may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes and to support ongoing and future anticipated growth, including potential acquisitions.

Home Bancshares is the Conway, Ark.-based bank holding company for Centennial Bank.
