Home Bancshares files $200 million shelf covering preferreds, stock

Tacoma, Wash., Jan. 14 - Home Bancshares, Inc. registered to sell up to $200 million of securities in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The shelf covers preferred stock, common stock, rights and warrants.

The preferreds may be convertible.

Proceeds from any sales made under the shelf will be used for general corporate purposes and to support the company's growth, including potential acquisitions.

Home Bancshares is the Conway, Ark.-based bank holding company for Centennial Bank.
