Portland, Ore., July 19 - Hologic Inc. priced an upsized $1 billion issue of eight-year senior notes (B2/BB/) at par to yield 6¼% on Thursday, according to market sources.
The yield printed at the tight end of yield talk that had been set in the 6 3/8% area.
Goldman Sachs & Co. ran the books for the issue, which was upsized from $750 million.
The Bedford, Mass.-based medical diagnostic systems developer and manufacturer plans to use the proceeds to help fund the acquisition of Gen-Probe Inc.
