Hollinger $300 million eight-year notes to price week of Dec. 16 via Wachovia

By Paul A. Harris

St. Louis, Dec. 10 - Hollinger International Publishing Inc. was set to start the roadshow late Tuesday or early Wednesday for its offering of $300 million of senior notes due 2010 (B2), according to a syndicate source.

The deal is likely to price early in the week of Dec. 16.

Wachovia Securities, Inc. is the bookrunner.

The Rule 144A notes are non-callable for four years and will be guaranteed by Hollinger International.

Proceeds will be used to redeem existing notes, make a distribution to Hollinger International and for general corporate purposes.

The issuer, a subsidiary of New York City-based Hollinger International Inc., owns English-language newspapers in the U.S., the U.K. and Israel.
