American Apparel posts $13.14 million net loss for month ended Dec. 31

Bethlehem, Pa., Feb. 11 – American Apparel, Inc. reported a $13.14 million net loss for the month ended Dec. 31 on $26 million in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
For November, the company reported a $14.5 million net loss on $22.3 million in net sales.
The company also had $22.3 million in cash at the end of the current period, down from $41.73 million at Nov. 30.
American Apparel, a Los Angeles-based manufacturer, distributor and retailer of branded fashion basic apparel, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 5. The Chapter 11 case number is 15-12055.
