Fitch reviews Asia-Pacific tech issuers

Fitch Ratings said it has taken action on several issuers following a sector-wide review of its Asia-Pacific corporate technology ratings.

In China: ZTE Corp.'s long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating was affirmed at BB+ with stable outlook.

In Japan: Hitachi, Ltd.'s long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating was downgraded to BBB+ from A- and placed on rating watch negative; Sony Corp.'s long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating was downgraded to BBB+ from A- and placed on rating watch negative; and Toshiba Corp.'s long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating was downgraded to BB from BBB and placed on rating watch negative.

In Korea: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.'s long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating was affirmed at A+ and its outlook was revised to negative from stable; LG Electronics Co., Ltd.'s long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating was affirmed at BBB and its outlook was revised to negative from stable; and Hynix Semiconductor Inc.'s long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating was affirmed at B+ and its rating watch negative is maintained.

In Taiwan: Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd.'s long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating was affirmed at A with stable outlook; United Microelectronics Corp.'s long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating was affirmed at BBB with stable outlook; Acer Inc.'s long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating was affirmed at BBB- and its outlook was revised to negative from stable; Asustek Computer Inc.'s long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating was downgraded to BB+ from BBB- placed on rating watch negative; Quanta Computer Inc.'s long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating was affirmed at BB and its outlook was revised to negative from positive; AU Optronics Corp.'s long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating was downgraded to BB- from BB+ and its outlook was revised to negative from positive.
