American Airlines plans $193.44 million series 2016-3B pass-throughs

Knoxville, Tenn., Sept. 20 – American Airlines, Inc. announced a $193.44 million offering of series 2016-3B pass-through certificates, according to an FWP and a 424B5 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The certificates have a final expected distribution date of Oct. 15, 2025.

Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC is the structuring agent and bookrunner.

The company expects the notes to be rated Baa3 by Moody’s Investors Service and BBB by S&P Global Ratings.

Proceeds will be used to acquire the company’s series B equipment notes.

The commercial airline, which is a subsidiary of AMR Corp., is based in Fort Worth, Texas.
