US Airways 7.25% notes convertible into shares of American Airlines

By Susanna Moon

Chicago, Dec. 9 - US Airways Group, Inc. said its 7.25% convertible senior notes due 2014 have become convertible into shares of American Airlines Group Inc., cash or a combination of cash and stock at the company's option.

The change was triggered by the company's merger with AMR Merger Sub, Inc., in which the company became a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines, according to a company press release.

American Airlines Group is the holding company for American Airlines and US Airways. American Airlines is based in Fort Worth, Texas. US Airways was an airline based in Tempe, Ariz.
