Hines Horticulture unsecured creditors committee appointed

Pittsburgh, Sept. 3 - Hines Horticulture, Inc.'s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed Wednesday by U.S. trustee Roberta A. DeAngelis, according to a filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The committee is comprised of Alex T. Chang of the Bank of New York Mellon, New York; Steven Berl of Syngenta Seeds, Inc., Lisle, Ill.; Andy Stavrou of Ball Horticultural Co., West Chicago, Ill.; David F. Watkins of the Conrad-Pyle Co., West Grove, Pa.; and Eugene Frederick of Allstates Truck Brokerage, Inc., Grants Pass, Ore.

Hines Horticulture, an Irvine, Calif.-based operator of commercial nurseries, filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 20. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-11922.
